Visions of the World is a 1989 album by Birmingham reggae singer and toaster Pato Banton, following Never Give In in his solo catalog. The album marked a more pop-oriented direction while retaining his reggae foundation. This ten-track CD brings together “Third World Country,” “Roots, Rock, Reggae,” “Wishing on a Star,” and the title song, with “Pato's Opinion Pt. 2” and “Never Give In” linking the program to his earlier repertoire. For listeners exploring Banton's development before Wize Up!, Visions of the World offers a late-1980s chapter of his recording career.
