Denver, Colorado duo Central Style Sound, B.R. and Kidd Fresh, made its 1995 debut with The Funk Is My Crime, a sought-after gangster-funk album on Kut-N-Kru Records. Recorded and mixed at Gary “Scratch G” Martinez's childhood home studio, the album lays gritty street narratives over tight G-Funk melodies and captures a distinctive strain of Denver rap history. For collectors, this CD is a deep regional find with a strong local identity and a full eight-track program.
