April Love is a twelve-track Pat Boone collection issued on Charly Records in 1992. Its title comes from the song written by Sammy Fain and Paul Francis Webster for the 1957 film April Love, in which Boone starred alongside Shirley Jones. The song became a U.S. No. 1 hit for Boone and received an Academy Award nomination for Best Original Song. This CD brings that title together with songs including “Speedy Gonzales,” “Ain't That a Shame,” “Love Letters in the Sand,” and “Moody River,” offering a compact selection of his repertoire. The 1992 date identifies this listed CD release, rather than the original era of the title song; the specific recording versions on this edition are not designated in the track list.
