A New Jersey-based alternative hip-hop and funk-rock group, Shootyz Groove blended rap, rock, and groove-heavy production into a distinctive sound that set them apart from both the hip-hop and alternative rock scenes of the mid-1990s. Roadrunner Records — better known for metal — made Shootyz Groove one of its more eclectic signings, making this a genuinely rare find.
