Details
Hand On The Torch is Us3's 1993 debut on Blue Note Records, the London album that sampled the label's own jazz classics and became Blue Note's first platinum record in the U.S. Produced and mixed by Mel Simpson and Geoff Wilkinson, it holds the smash “Cantaloop (Flip Fantasia),” built on Herbie Hancock's “Cantaloupe Island,” plus “I Got It Goin' On” and “Tukka Yoot's Riddim.” It's a jazz-rap landmark.
