Details
Philadelphia-born bass master Stanley Clarke spent the early '90s scoring films as well as making his own records, and East River Drive (1993, Epic) brings both worlds together. Clarke produced this warm jazz-funk set himself.
It includes the title track, “Justice's Groove,” which comes from the Columbia motion picture Poetic Justice, and Clarke's “Theme From Boyz N The Hood.” “Never Lose Your Heart / There Lies The Passion” is here too.
