Details
Born in Santa Monica and raised in New York City, Suzanne Vega was a leader of the '80s Greenwich Village folk revival. Fun fact: her a cappella “Tom's Diner” was used to fine-tune the MP3 codec, which earned her the nickname “Mother of MP3.” Days Of Open Hand (1990, A&M Records) is her lush, adventurous folk-rock third album, co-produced by Vega and Anton Sanko. It includes “Tired Of Sleeping,” “Book Of Dreams” and “Men In A War.”
