Walkin' After Midnight is a sixteen-track Patsy Cline collection issued by Creative Sounds in 1990. Its title song, written by Alan Block and Don Hecht, became Cline's first major hit after her January 1957 performance on Arthur Godfrey's Talent Scouts, reaching No. 2 on the Billboard country chart and No. 12 on the pop chart. This CD pairs that song with selections including “Three Cigarettes in an Ashtray,” “Pick Me Up (On Your Way Down),” “I've Loved and Lost Again,” and “Honky Tonk Merry-Go-Round.” The program offers listeners a selection of Cline's repertoire beyond her best-known later hits, opening with “Turn the Cards Slowly” and closing with “A Church a Courtroom and Then Goodbye.”
