Heavy D (Dwight Arrington Myers, R.I.P.) was a Jamaican-born, Mount Vernon, New York rapper and one of Uptown Records' signature artists, known for his smooth, danceable hip-hop style. Released in 1994 on Uptown Records/MCA Records, this two-track cassette single delivers Black Coffee — produced by Easy Mo Bee, sampling James Brown's Payback — and Spend A Little Time On Top, produced by Marley Marl of the Juice Crew, sampling Silvers' Misdemeanor. Andre Harrell and Heavy D served as Executive Producers. A polished mid-'90s Uptown Records collectible from one of hip-hop's most beloved and charismatic figures.
