Syl Johnson: Total Explosion/Uptown Shakedown: CD

Syl Johnson's Hi Records years in Memphis produced some of the deepest Southern soul and R&B ever cut, and this CD pairs two of those albums, Total Explosion and Uptown Shakedown, billed on the front as 2 LPs on one CD. Tracks 1-9 are Total Explosion and tracks 10-16 are Uptown Shakedown, closing with an Otis Redding medley. The back is marked as a (P)(C)1993 Cream/Hi Records Inc. compilation, issued under licence to Demon Records Ltd. and manufactured in France.
