Only Built 4 Cuban Linx... is the debut solo album by Wu-Tang Clan member Raekwon, released on August 1, 1995 by Loud and RCA Records. Produced by RZA, it features Ghostface Killah throughout, with appearances from Nas, Method Man, Masta Killa, and Cappadonna, and it became known as “The Purple Tape” for the purple cassette shells of its first pressing. Highlights include “Criminology,” “Incarcerated Scarfaces,” “Ice Cream,” “Glaciers Of Ice,” and “Verbal Intercourse.” For the album's 20th anniversary in 2015, Get On Down and Raekwon issued this Purple Tape Watch Box, limited to 1,995 copies worldwide: a purple cassette housed in a watch-box display case with an embossed Raekwon logo, a full-color outer box with the original cover art, and a 118-page hardcover book with lyrics, liner notes, and photos.
