Salt-N-Pepa: Ain't Nuthin' But A She Thing: Cassette Single

You can tell a lot about Salt-N-Pepa from Ain't Nuthin' But A She Thing (1995): it's a hip-hop, rap and funk-soul single with a clear point of view. Salt-N-Pepa is an American hip-hop group formed in New York City in 1985, that is composed of Salt, Pepa, and DJ Spinderella. Their debut album, Hot, Cool & Vicious (1986), sold more than 1 million copies in the US, making them the first female rap act to receive both a gold and platinum certification by the Recording Industry Association of America (Riaa).

There's a strong new jack swing streak running through it. On production, Cheryl James kept things tight. Snap it up and hear it for yourself.
