Young Doe, born Charles Truth, is one of Denver, Colorado's most respected underground rap figures — and Street Hustler captures him at his rawest. Released in 2007 but documenting his earliest recordings, the album takes listeners back to when a 15-year-old Young Doe (then going by Young Dozja) was already steeped in the streets of Montbello. The production leans hard into old-school Gangster Funk and G-Funk grooves, providing the perfect backdrop for his streetwise, unfiltered lyricism. Doe released these sessions years after they were recorded specifically because demand for that authentic G-Rap sound never faded — and collectors who know, know. Copies are extremely limited and once gone, they won't be coming back.
