Gonna Stick and Stay is a 1993 album by American soul singer-songwriter Paul Kelly, recorded in New Orleans during July and August 1992. Born in Miami, Kelly built his reputation with songs including “Stealing in the Name of the Lord” and “Hooked, Hogtied & Collared,” alongside a songwriting career that reached other performers. This album opens with his own recording of “Personally,” a Kelly composition previously recorded by Jackie Moore and made a pop hit by Karla Bonoff. The eleven-track CD marks a return to recording after a period focused on songwriting and production, with selections including “The New Rules,” “Friendly Enemies,” and “Good Times Are Here Tonight.”
