Details
Not every album earns a spot in the rotation, but Lamya's Learning From Falling (2002) does — R&B and soul with weight behind it. Lamya Al-Mugheiry, better known as her mononym Lamya, was a Kenyan-born English singer-songwriter and record producer. She rose to fame in the early 1990s as one of the lead singers of R&B group Soul II Soul, and later as a backing singer for Duran Duran. Learning from Falling is the debut studio album by British singer Lamya. It was released on 30 July 2002 through J Records. The singer worked with Nellee Hooper on most of the album, while Mark Ronson, David Kahne, duo Soulshock & Karlin, and others also contributed.
With Peter Edge, Nellee Hooper and Major behind the controls, the beats never let up. Your collection will thank you.
