King Tee (Roger McBride) is a Compton, California rapper and a West Coast hip-hop veteran with deep ties to Dr. Dre, DJ Quik, and the Likwit Crew. This is a rare 1998 promotional advance cassette for his shelved album Thy Kingdom Come — which was originally slated to be the first release on Dr. Dre's Aftermath Entertainment label. The album was pulled when Dre discovered Eminem and shifted focus, making this promo an extraordinary piece of hip-hop history and one of the most collectible West Coast artifacts from the era. The tape features snippets with DJ Quik, Kid Frost, and Shaquille O'Neal.
