Maceo Parker: Roots Revisited: Cassette

Maceo Parker delivered Roots Revisited in 1990, a funk and jazz album that still holds its own. Maceo Parker is an American funk and soul jazz saxophonist, best known for his work with James Brown in the 1960s, Parliament-Funkadelic in the 1970s and Prince in the 2000s. Parker was a prominent soloist on many of Brown's hit recordings, and a key part of his band, playing alto, tenor and baritone saxophones. Roots Revisited is an album by saxophonist Maceo Parker which was originally released on the Minor Music label in 1990.

Expect a healthy dose of funk-soul along the way. Maceo Parker and Stephan Meyner worked the boards, and you can hear the care in every track. Put it in the cart before someone else does.
