If hip-hop, rap is your lane, Freezin' 'Em from Level III (1991) belongs on your shelf. Level III is an Atlanta-based trio who make music in the style of Bell Biv Devoe: R&B Pop with a hip hop groove, ready for dance floors and a wide range of radio formats.
Expect a healthy dose of funk-soul and new jack swing along the way. Jon Gass, Bassy Bob Brockmann and Dave Pensado handled production, with Lipstick, The O'Jays and Or-N-More joining in on features. A keeper, plain and simple.
