John Forté is a New York rapper, producer, and close associate of the Fugees and Lauryn Hill, releasing on Refugee Camp Entertainment/Ruffhouse Records/Columbia Records in 1998. This two-track cassette single delivers Ninety Nine [Flash The Message] (LP Version) and Hot (LP Version) — both taken from his debut album Poly Sci. Forté was a key figure in the Refugee Camp orbit and a gifted lyricist whose career was cut short by a 2000 drug conviction before receiving a presidential commutation in 2008. A collectible late '90s Ruffhouse/Refugee Camp release.
