Details
Spanish Fly captures Lisa Lisa And Cult Jam in 1987, and it's a freestyle and R&B album with staying power. Lisa Lisa and Cult Jam were a United States urban contemporary band and one of the first freestyle music groups to emerge from New York City in the 1980s. Cult Jam consisted of vocalist Lisa Lisa, born Lisa Velez, guitarist/bassist Alex "Spanador" Moseley, and drummer/keyboardist Mike Hughes. Spanish Fly is the second studio album by Lisa Lisa and Cult Jam. The album was released in April 8, 1987. The singles "Head to Toe" and "Lost in Emotion" both reached number one in the United States.
It leans into pop in all the right places. Production comes from Full Force, and Full Force turn up as guests. Bring it home and give it the spin it deserves.
