Back in 1990, Black Uhuru dropped Now, and the reggae crowd took notice. Black Uhuru is a Jamaican reggae group formed in 1972, initially as Uhuru. The group has undergone several line-up changes over the years, with Derrick "Duckie" Simpson as the mainstay.
Black Uhuru and Tony "Asher" Brissett shaped the sound here, and it shows. Worth every minute of your listening time — and a spot on the shelf.
Now is a 1990 CD release from Black Uhuru on Mesa Records.
