This Is Mercury: Sales Compilation Tape (September 1992) is a 1992 PolyGram sales sampler cassette that runs from rock to blues to hip-hop, rap. Ugly Kid Joe, Ocean Colour Scene, Mother Love Bone and Robert Cray sit beside the cast of Jelly's Last Jam, and the tape closes with Diamond And The Psychotic Neurotics' Bronx classics “Best Kept Secret” and “Sally's Got A One Track Mind.” It's a fascinating snapshot of the label's fall 1992 lineup, made for retail buyers rather than fans.
