Carry On is Patti Austin's 1991 album on GRP Records, following Love Is Gonna Getcha in her recording catalog. An American singer whose career spans R&B, pop, and jazz, Austin established herself through session work and collaborations with artists including Quincy Jones and James Ingram before moving from Qwest to GRP. This eleven-track CD represents that early-1990s period, bringing together the title song, “Givin' In to Love,” “I Will Remember You,” and “How Can I Be Sure.” The program also includes “Monday Monday” and closes with “(Don't Know) Whether to Laugh or Cry,” offering listeners a full album from Austin's GRP years.
