Natural Wonder marked Phoebe Snow's return to an album of new material in 2003, fourteen years after Something Real. The singer-songwriter and guitarist first reached a wide audience with “Poetry Man” in the 1970s, establishing a voice that moved comfortably across blues, jazz, folk, and soul. Her career also included vocal collaborations with Paul Simon and performances with the Sisters Of Glory, reflecting the range of her musical interests. This later chapter of her recording career includes “Sahara,” “How Beautiful,” “The Other Girlfriend,” and the title track, alongside the listed “Lightning Crashes” and “Baby, I Need Your Loving.” Natural Wonder offers a bridge between her earlier singer-songwriter recordings and her work in the following decade.
