Details
Back in 1991, Lifers Group dropped Lifer's Group, and the hip-hop, rap and gangsta rap crowd took notice. Lifers Group was a hip hop group formed by Maxwell Melvins while incarcerated at East Jersey State Prison in Rahway, New Jersey, in 1991.
It leans into conscious rap in all the right places. With Doctor Jam and Phase 5 behind the controls, the beats never let up. Snap it up and hear it for yourself.
