Details
Spunkadelic were a Canadian hip-hop, rap and R&B group: singers Alicia Whittaker (“Ali”) and Ray Guiste (“Ray”), backed by Peter Willis on keyboards. They're best remembered for “9.95,” “Take Me Like I Am” and “Boomerang.”
Spunk Junk (1991, SBK Records) catches the early-'90s moment when R&B swing, house and pop all ran together on the radio. Keith Cohen and Peter Willis produced it.
